CIA (Confirmands in Action) – 7th & 8th Grade Youth Ministry

The Confirmands in Action (CIA) is Messiah’s youth ministry for 7th and 8th graders, designed to help students grow deeper in their faith while building lasting friendships.

What We Do

  • Confirmation Classes – From September through May, students meet at the Youth House for Bible and catechism instruction as they prepare for confirmation.

  • Fun & Fellowship – In addition to classes, CIA gathers throughout the year for special activities and events. Highlights include two annual lock-ins (fall and spring), service opportunities, and plenty of time to connect with friends.

  • Summer Experiences – CIA alternates each summer between attending Confirmation Camp at Lutherwald and going on a mission trip, giving students opportunities to grow in faith, service, and community.

  • Serving at Messiah – CIA students actively serve in worship as tech assistants, help in the coffee bar, and take part in group service projects that make a difference.
